A collection of hand-thrown stoneware tableware that comes with different shapes, sizes and colours.
As "mazekoze" means "mixing up" in Japanese, it is suggested for users to mix pieces in many combinations and to give a joy to the table.
Glaze has chalky semi-matt texture and colours are available in white, grey, yellow ochre and sakura pink.
Unique selection of blue & white decorative, one-off pieces.
All hand-thrown stoneware and each surface was individually decorated by hand with blue slip & sgraffito technique.
As "rakugaki" means "doodling" in Japanese, each piece has a unique and spontaneous design. The theme of decorations are often inspired by nature and creatures in North Yorkshire life I have experienced.
Vases are something I would love to develop more alongside my tableware.
Since I have created my own cut flower garden, the idea of having a variety of vases has grown, to enable you to enjoy different flowers at different seasons, just like what you wear.
Each piece is a one-off item for being unique in its shape, size, surface decoration and glaze colours.
It is such a pleasure to see food are passionately made and carefully served by the hand of a professional onto the pottery I make. The images shown here are customised plates for a Yorkshire restaurant, The Old Deanery.

A range of home decorations, from candle holders to ceramic wreaths, made with stoneware or porcelain.
Mostly I make them prior to the Christmas season, however, the designs are usable throughout the year.
Hope these little pieces would add a joy to your loving home.
My first ever series of work commenced around 2010 during my BA study.
"hanetsubo" means "winged pot". Wings represent the positivity within our life, wishing to soar towards one’s dream.
This series was discontinued in 2013, but can be made to order.
These lilypad pieces are from a specific installation work that was exhibited in 2011, working with a local art gallery owner, as a part of project during my BA.
Inspired by 1820 Georgian House of the client, my main focus was the beautiful original feature of the house, such as floor tiles and glass panels, which reappeared as restoration continued.
Secondly, I was fascinated by the story of fishpond (with a live fish in it!) that were undiscovered for many years.
I felt a sense of revealing “hidden beauty” in both elements, for which I expressed in fragile hand-thrown porcelain lilypad.

Shortly after Japan’s big earthquake in 2011, I set up HELP JAPAN fundraising project via my blog to support those who were effected.
The project carried out in three phases between 2011 to 2013, over a thousand handmade miniature birds and limited edition products were sold online. Nearly £9000 was raised by generous participants from a total of 11 countries. The donation was delivered to one of the towns in the most devastated areas hit by tsunami.
"Keeping the light of hope" installation was intended to spread a message to people not to forget the after-effect of such a disaster.
Thank you so much for all your support.
