Your privacy is important
Makiko Hastings (referred as "I" "my" and "me") is a sole trade small business. I respect your information and privacy. Your information will not be given to a third party. *(with the exception of the collaboration work with the other artist who may hold information (i.e. name and address) for admin purpose.)
How I collect and store your information
As of April 2021, your name and email address are collected by Squarespace Email campaign (my website provider), if you signed up to my mailing list via the website. Occasionally I collect your personal information directly from events I attend or via email enquiry.
I collect further information such as your postal address in order to fulfil your request and carry out customer support when orders are placed.
When you provide your personal information to sign up to my newsletter, place an order or send / reply to a message, I understand that you consent to my collecting information and using it for that specific purpose only.
Your personal information collected via my newsletter is stored securely in the Squarespace Email campaigns system. Previous mailing lists from Mailchimp (my previous mailing list provider) are now safely transferred and securely stored in the current system.
What I do with your information
When you are on my mailing list, you will receive occasional emails containing information such as shop openings and upcoming events. The newsletter is for you to enjoy and be notified of relevant dates and information about Makiko Hastings that you may be interested in.
Third party service and payment providers
In order to fulfil your order on the online shop or sales at face to face events, your information may be shared with third party services and payment providers as follows;
My website and online shop are hosted on Squarespace. Inc. (Squarespace) They provide me with the online e-commerce platform that allows me to sell my products to you. Your information is stored securely by Squarespace when an order has been placed. For the Squarespace Privacy Policy, please find here.
Squarespace uses third party payment providers to assist in proceeding your personal information in order to complete your order via my online shop. They only collect information that is required for purchase related transaction, and this will be done either by PayPal or Stripe. For the Paypal Privacy Policy, please find here. When you purchase my products directly at face to face events, I may occasionally use the payment service, iZettle. Your information will be collected to the extent necessary to perform these services. For the iZettle Privacy Policy, please find here.
I share your information to other service providers such as Royal Mail and other courier services, in order to complete your order. This is only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Your right to access and delete
When you place an order or sign up to my newsletter, your information will be kept in my records unless and until you ask me to delete the information. You can do this at anytime by clicking the unsubscribe button on the bottom of my newsletter or via email to mail@makikohastings.com
